LYNX: E-Business Card
Fall 2005
LYNX is an electronic business card. The concept was developed for an integrated product and interface course. As a product, Lynx could be enhanced to support client-to-employee interaction. LYNX users would be able to store and access traditional business card information from the client database, eliminating the need for a disposable paper card. A challenge facing the implementation of the LYNX system is the integration of the technology in the office space. The locator requires a localization system that uses embedding sensors in the building infrastructure. Likewise, sensors at access points would allow the LYNX ID to work as a security pass.
