SprayBan

Spring 2004

SprayBan is a splash and spray guard for tractor trailers. Alcoa sponsored this integrated product development project with the goal of providing the use of aluminum for the truck industry.

I worked in a multi-disciplinary team of three mechanical engineers and another industrial designer. The engineers proposed the idea of a splash and spray protection unit and asked us to design and construct the prototype for the casing. As a team, we performed contextual inquiries, ran thorough prototype tests, and developed marketing strategies to present for the client.
